Local Rules
PENALTY FOR BREACH: Match play – loss of hole; Stroke play – 2 strokes.
- Obstructions. The following objects are Immovable Obstructions. If the ball is in or on the obstruction, or the object interferes with the player’s stance or area of intended swing, relief is to be taken as directed and in accordance with Rule 24-2b.
- Planted shrubs and trees under 2 club lengths high: relief must be taken.
- Distance markers, and stakes embedded in the ground for water hazards, lateral water hazards, Ground Under Repair, drop zones: relief may be taken.
- Bridges, timber tee boxes, signs: relief may be taken.
- Irrigators, soakers, and hoses on fairways: relief may be taken.
- Racetrack fittings (fences, signs, and towers), whether erected or removed from their normal positions: relief may be taken.
- Abnormal Ground Conditions. The following objects/conditions are Abnormal Ground Conditions and relief may be taken in accordance with Rule 25-1.
- Tractor marks, aeration holes, hoof marks, stones, and new work.
- Bare patches on the fairway which you are playing..
- Bare patches on putting greens.
- Ground Under Repair. The following objects are defined as Ground Under Repair. If the ball is in or on object, or the object interferes with the player’s stance or area of intended swing, relief is to be taken as directed and in accordance with Rule 25-1.
- Race Track: relief may be taken, unless Compulsory GUR is declared.
- All garden beds: relief must be taken.
- The drains around the racetrack: relief may be taken.
- Ball Striking the Racetrack Fence. If it is known or virtually certain that a ball has struck the racetrack fence or other fitting, whether or not in place, other than where the fence defines a boundary to the course, the stroke must be immediately cancelled and the player must play a ball as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was played in accordance with Rule 20-5.
Note: This Local Rule does not apply where the fence defines the boundary of the course, nor does it apply to the fencing stored on the left side of the third fairway.
- Intervention by Racetrack Fence. If the racetrack fence or other fitting, whether or not in place, intervenes directly on the player’s line of play and there is no physical interference by the fence/fitting, the ball may be lifted and dropped, without penalty, at a point that is on an extension of the line from where the ball lay to the hole, with no limit to how far behind the original position the ball may be dropped. This point must be
(a) not nearer the hole than the player’s original position, and
(b) not in a hazard or on a putting green.
Exception: The player may not take relief if it is clearly unreasonable for him to make a stroke because of interference by anything other than the fence/fitting.
- Approved distance measuring devices may be used – (Rule 14-3) - Penalty: disqualification.
OUT OF BOUNDS:
- All areas adjacent to machinery shed, club house and car-park as defined by markers.
- All ground outside the boundary fences is OOB.

Fence behind the 1st green.
Beyond the outer racetrack running rail from back of 1st green until level with 3rd tee.
STAKES:
- WHITE with BLACK Top - OOB
- YELLOW - Water Penalty Area
- RED - Lateral Penalty Area
- WHITE - GUR
